Fibreglass Swimming Pools Melbourne | Horizon Pools

Pool Designs for Everyday Enjoyment

Our range of Graphene Nano-Tech fibreglass swimming pools, designed and manufactured in Australia by Aqua Technics, covers small fibreglass pools up to 5 metres, medium fibreglass pools up to 8 metres and large fibreglass pools up to 12 metres. Every shell is built to Australian Standard AS/NZS 1838 under licence BMP No 520101, and finished with patented Pool ColourGuard® surface protection.

Plunge & Courtyard Pools (up to 5m) Small Fibreglass Pools

A pool that suits a courtyard, side yard, or compact urban block. Our plunge and round pool designs are purpose-built to bring water into smaller spaces, with sizes ranging from narrow profiles up to 5m. Perfect for cooling off on a hot day, and several can be fitted with spa jets for added versatility.

Infinity 3 & 4 meters

A round pool that brings something completely different to a small space. Available in 3m and 4m sizes, the circular shape softens your outdoor area and sits naturally within the landscape. A continuous bench seat wraps the inside, making it as much about sitting and socialising as it is about cooling off. It can be installed partially above ground.

Terrace

The smallest round pool in the range, purpose-built for courtyards and tight urban spaces. The Terrace is a plunge pool that gives you somewhere to cool off, relax, and unwind without needing a big backyard to do it. The wide second entry step doubles as a seat, and with optional spa jets it works just as well as a hydrotherapy spa. Like the Infinity, it can sit partially above ground to suit your space.

Serenity

Built to give you the most swimming space possible from a compact footprint. The twin side entry steps stay out of the way, leaving the full length open for laps or play. At the shallow end, an extended entry step gives you a comfortable spot to sit and cool off, with the option to add spa jets if you want hydrotherapy as well.

Alto

A compact plunge pool that punches well above its size. The corner entry steps tuck neatly out of the way, while a full-length seating ledge along one side gives you somewhere to sit, supervise the kids, or just cool off with your feet in the water. It’s a versatile design that works in courtyards and small backyards complementing entertaining areas.

Latina

A compact pool that keeps things simple and gets them right. The uninterrupted swim zone gives the kids room to play without anyone bumping into steps, while the extended bench seat along one side is a natural spot to sit and unwind. Add optional spa jets to the bench and it doubles as a hydrotherapy zone, giving you two pools in one.

Verona

Another strong option for narrow blocks at 2.5m wide, with a geometric shape that keeps things clean and modern. Corner entry steps are tucked to one side so you get the most out of the swimming area, and a full-length bench seat runs along one wall for sitting and soaking. If you’re working with a tight space but don’t want to compromise on style, the Verona delivers.

Allure

A narrow profile that makes the most of every metre, making it a great fit for side yards or tighter blocks. The twin side entry steps are tucked out of the way, so you get the full length for swimming. At the shallow end, an extended entry step doubles as a spot to sit, relax, and cool off without being in the deep end.

Sovereign

A geometric design that makes every bit of a compact backyard count. The corner entry steps tuck away to preserve as much swim space as possible, and a full-length bench seat along one side gives you a built-in spot to relax without needing extra room for poolside furniture. It’s a smart, space-saving layout for homes where square metres are at a premium.

Paradiso

At just 2.15m wide, this one was made for narrow blocks and tight side yards. The slim profile doesn’t mean you miss out, there’s still a swimming area, and the extended entry steps at the shallow end give you a generous spot to sit and relax. It’s a smart choice for homes where space is limited but a pool is still a priority.

Portofino

A narrow pool with a swim lane. At 2.5m wide, it fits comfortably into side yards and smaller blocks, while the corner entry steps keep the full length clear for swimming. A full-length bench seat along one side gives you somewhere to sit and take a break without getting out. Simple, practical, and a great use of a tight space.

Family Pools Midsize (up to 7m)
Medium fibreglass pools

The sweet spot for most suburban backyards. Sized between 5 and 7 metres, these pools give the kids room to play and the adults room to swim a few easy lengths, with plenty of garden left over. Each design balances a generous swim zone with thoughtful step placement and bench seating, so there’s always somewhere comfortable to sit and watch the day unwind.

Empire

There is a reason this is one of our best sellers. The Empire fits beautifully into compact backyards while still delivering proper swimming space. Side entry keeps the swim zone clear, and the extended bench seat gives you somewhere comfortable to sit and enjoy your pool.

SPASA Award - best Fibreglass Pool up to $60K

Avellino

One of our newer designs and quickly becoming a firm favourite. At
6m x 4m, it packs a lot into a practical footprint. The clever corner steps keep your swimming space clear, while the full-length bench is perfect for a lazy afternoon chat or keeping an eye on the kids.

Istana

Modern geometric elegance with substance to match. Three full-width entry steps create a spacious seating area that is perfect for weekend gatherings, while the extended shallow end gives you room to relax. Twin deep-end swim-outs mean there are always quiet corners to retreat to.

Alpine

A genuine crowd-pleaser with a welcoming entry area and plenty of seating for the whole family. Wide enough for games and splashing about, but with a thoughtfully placed confidence ledge where younger swimmers can take a breather. It is the kind of pool where everyone finds their spot.

Bellino

A contemporary design that balances good looks with genuine practicality. The symmetrical side entry steps at both ends make getting in and out effortless from wherever you are in the backyard, while the extended seating ledge gives you room to relax without eating into your swimming area.

Florentina

Sophisticated without being fussy. The Florentina makes the most of narrower spaces with a slim profile that does not compromise on features. The generous entry seating zone is great for socialising, unobtrusive side steps keep things streamlined, and the confidence ledge gives parents peace of mind.

Sentosa

Ultra-slim at just 2.15m wide, the Sentosa proves narrow does not mean boring. Clean geometric lines give it a contemporary edge, while the extended shallow-end steps create a dedicated spot for easing in and relaxing.

Family Pool Entertainers (up to 12m)
Large Fibreglass Pools

For the bigger backyard and the bigger crowd. Entertainer pools run from 7 to 12 metres, giving you room to swim laps, room for the kids to play games, and room for the whole family to gather. With generous swim zones, beach entries on some designs, and lap-pool options, this is the range to choose when the pool is the heart of the backyard.

Palazzo

Extended bench seating runs along one side, with the option to add spa jets for that extra touch of relaxation. The uninterrupted swimming zone gives you clear space for laps or play, making this a genuinely versatile choice for families who want options.

Oxford

Do not let a smaller backyard limit your swimming dreams. The Oxford is a slimline option that proves you can have style and substance in a compact footprint. Side entry steps maximise your swimming room, and the extended bench seating gives you somewhere to relax.

Imperial

A refined design that earns its name. The stylish side entry steps preserve your swimming space, while the deep-end corner swim-out offers both a safety feature and a relaxation spot. That extra-wide second step? It naturally becomes the social hub of your pool.

Harmony

Designed with narrow blocks in mind, the Harmony delivers a swimming experience where space is tight. Twin side entry steps give you options at both ends, and the full-depth walls mean you are getting maximum swimming area. The extended entry step creates a comfortable spot to ease in.

Terazza

The Terazza is designed for those who want a pool that works as hard as it looks good. Wide, relaxed steps double as a spot to sit and unwind, while deep end swim outs give swimmers a place to rest between laps. The Terazza  brings villa life to the everyday.

Europa

The Europa welcomes everyone with an entry area that has room for the whole family. Wide enough for games, but with a confidence ledge positioned just right for younger swimmers who need a rest spot. Practical family features wrapped in a good-looking package.

Bedarra

If you love that gradual walk-in feel of a natural beach, you will love the Bedarra. The generous beach entry area with wide steps makes it easy for everyone to ease in at their own pace. Add a full-length bench seat for relaxing and a confidence ledge for little ones, and you have got a pool that works beautifully for the whole family.

Bellagio

Got a narrower block but still want lap space? The Bellagio is your answer. At 2.5m wide, this sleek geometric design fits where others cannot, while the corner entry steps keep your swim lane completely clear. Finish your laps and stretch out on the full-length bench, perfect for a post-workout unwind.

Castello

Clean lines and balanced proportions make the Castello a timeless choice. The side entry steps tuck in neatly, leaving you with plenty of swimming room, while the long seating ledge runs the length of the pool for maximum relaxation space.

Valentina

It is easy to see why this one is a customer favourite. The contemporary geometric style looks the part, while the extended bench seating and side steps deliver on practicality. A generous swim zone and plenty of seating make it ideal for families who love to entertain.

Elysian

Three full-width steps create a generous entry zone that doubles as the perfect spot to sit and soak. At the deep end, twin swim-outs give you relaxation zones, perfect for cooling off on a hot day or having a quiet moment while the kids play. Slim profile suits narrower blocks too.

Sheffield

A well-rounded option for medium-sized backyards. The cleverly positioned side entry steps leave you with maximum swimming room, while the extended bench along one side gives everyone a comfortable spot to sit. Practical design that does not skimp on comfort.

Grandeur

Modern styling meets genuine family practicality. The Grandeur features stylish side entry steps that maximise your swimming space, while the deep-end corner includes a handy swim-out ledge, great for taking a break or keeping cool. The extra-large second step becomes a natural gathering spot.

Primo

For serious swimmers working with limited width. At just 2.5m wide, the Primo delivers a lap pool experience. Side entry steps at both ends create handy rest spots without interrupting your swimming line, and safety ledges on both sides provide peace of mind.

Siena

If you have got the room and want a pool that will stand the test of time, the Siena is worth a look. Clean, contemporary design with corner entry steps that keep your swimming area wide open. The full-length seating ledge runs down one side, giving you plenty of space to relax.

Torino

A timeless design for those with generous outdoor space. The Torino gives you room to swim, play, and relax, all in one. Corner entry steps in the shallow end keep things tidy, while that uninterrupted swimming area and full-length seating mean you never feel cramped.

Ultimo

With a constant 1.4m depth throughout, the Ultimo is built for swimmers who want to clock up laps. But it is not all business, the side entry steps and safety ledges on both sides mean it works just as well for family fun. Perfect for bigger, narrower blocks.

Hayman Series - 9, 10 & 11

Bring that holiday feeling home with the Hayman. The generous beach entry area and wide steps let everyone wade in at their own pace, while the full-length bench seat is perfect for lounging. Deep end steps make getting in and out a breeze, and the confidence ledge keeps younger swimmers safe.  Available in Lounger Series 9, 10 or 11 meters.

Spas & Spillways

Our standalone spas are built for year-round use, with customisable jet placement, LED lighting, and independent heating. Pair one with your pool via a spillway, or install on its own as a quiet retreat. A backyard feature you’ll use far more than you expect.

Nova Spa

Our most popular spa, and it’s easy to see why. The Nova is a spillway spa, designed to connect with any fibreglass pool in our range, so water spills gently from the spa into your pool to create a single, resort style centrepiece. This contemporary square design seats up to seven adults comfortably, with continuous bench seating and six hydrotherapy jets for genuine relaxation. LED lighting comes standard, making it just as inviting after dark as it is during the day. Whichever pool you choose, the Nova attaches seamlessly to bring resort style living to your backyard.

Bastia Spa

A stand-alone spa that seats the whole family comfortably, with bench seating across three sides and entry steps in two corners for easy access from either end. At 3.2m x 2m, it’s generous enough to stretch out in but compact enough to tuck into a courtyard or alongside an existing pool.

Elba Spa

A stand-alone spa that pairs with most pools in our range, or works just as well on its own. At 4m x 2m, it’s spacious enough to double as a wading pool for little ones during the day and a spa for the adults once the kids are in bed. It operates independently from the main pool, so you can heat it separately and use it year-round without running the whole system.

Pool & Spa Combinations

Our pool and spa combinations are consistently among our most popular designs, and it’s easy to see why. You get a full swimming area connected to an integrated spa via a spillway, all within a single shell. The spa can be heated independently, so you can use it through the cooler months without running the whole pool. Sizes range from compact through to generous formats up to 12m, with a combination to suit most backyards.

Saint Luxe

The most compact pool and spa combination in the range, but you wouldn’t know it. It packs a full swimming area, a six-person spa with recliner seats and a cascading spillway into a footprint that suits tighter backyards. If you thought you didn’t have room for a pool and spa, this one might change your mind.

Saint Remy

A smart pool and spa combination that fits comfortably into a medium-sized backyard without compromising on either. The main pool gives you plenty of room to swim, while the integrated six-person spa sits alongside, connected by a spillway that adds movement and sound. It’s built for year-round use, whether it’s a summer swim or a winter soak.

Saint Louis

A pool and spa in one, designed for families who want it all and have more space to play with. The generous swimming area flows into an integrated six-person spa with recliner seats and therapeutic jets, connected by a spillway that keeps the water moving between the two. It’s the kind of setup that gets used every day, not just on weekends.

Saint Azur

The largest pool and spa combination in the range, the Saint Azur is made for larger backyards where resort-style living and lap swimming come together as part of everyday life. Every centimetre is considered. A generous swimming area flows into a six-person spa featuring two recliners, bench seating and therapeutic jets, all linked by a gentle spillway. The spa can be heated independently, inviting you to slow down and soak through the cooler months without warming the entire pool.

Commercial & Resort Pools

Fibreglass pools aren’t just for backyards. For the right commercial setting, they’re a smart choice that gets you up and running faster than a concrete build. With shorter installation times and a smooth, hard-wearing surface, fibreglass suits hotels, apartment complexes, gyms, healthcare and aged care facilities, day spas, and resorts that want quality without a drawn-out construction timeline.

That said, commercial pools have to work harder than residential ones. They see far more use, need more robust filtration and circulation systems, and have to meet stricter compliance requirements. This matters even more in healthcare and spa settings, where water quality, hygiene, and accessibility are front and centre, and where the pool or plunge needs to be comfortable and safe for people who may be elderly, recovering, or there to unwind. So while fibreglass brings real advantages, the pool still has to be planned around the demands of the site and the people using it every day.

At Horizon Pools, we’ve delivered commercial projects right across Melbourne, and we know which jobs suit a fibreglass solution and which are better off in concrete. We understand the regulations, the engineering, and the practical realities of a pool serving dozens of people at once, and we’ll give you an honest steer on the best approach for your build.

The Difference in Every Horizon Fibreglass Pool

Our fibreglass swimming pools are manufactured exclusively by Aqua Technics, one of Australia’s most respected pool manufacturers with more than 50 years of experience and ISO 9001 certified quality systems. Every pool is engineered in their state-of-the-art Australian facility using a multi-layered construction process refined over decades, then installed in your home by our experienced team. The result is a pool built to last a lifetime, with the finish, structural integrity and design integrity that high-end homes deserve.

30% Stronger, 30% Lighter

Graphene is over 200 times stronger than steel, and it’s built into every fibreglass pool we supply. The Graphene Nano-Tech® process infuses graphene into the structure of the pool, making it 30% stronger and 30% lighter than conventional fibreglass construction. That means better resistance to water, moisture and chemicals, improved laminate durability, and a pool that’s easier to install without compromising on strength.

200mm of Built-In Strength

Most fibreglass pools rely on secondary engineering to stay structurally sound once they’re in the ground. Ours don’t. Our 200mm edge beam means the strength is engineered directly into the pool shell itself, with full-sized structural ribs, a triangle sub-structure and a resin-rich layer over the former for added rigidity. The result is a pool that holds its shape for the long haul, without needing extra support to do it.

Pool ColourGuard® Protection That Lasts

The colour of your pool matters, and it should still look great years down the track. Pool ColourGuard® is a patented dual-coat surface protection system, the only one of its kind in the world. A clear outer layer acts like sunscreen for your pool, protecting the colour layer beneath from UV and chemicals. The result is a high-gloss finish that holds its colour far longer than a standard single-coat pool surface

Why Choose a Fibreglass Pool?

SMART CHOICE, STUNNING RESULT

Modern fibreglass swimming pools offer a compelling combination of comfort, convenience, and value. The smooth, non-porous surface is gentle on skin and resistant to algae growth, making maintenance straightforward. Installation is significantly faster than concrete, often completed within one to two weeks.  For families seeking a hassle-free path to pool ownership, fibreglass pools deliver on every front without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

Fast, Streamlined Pool Installation

The biggest advantage of fibreglass pools is speed. Because the shell is manufactured off-site and delivered ready to install, most projects are completed within one to two weeks. Our team manages every stage, so you get clear communication and consistent quality from start to finish.

Easy, Low Maintenance and Made for Everyday Living

Fibreglass pools deliver on that promise from day one.  Every flat surface, steps, benches, and the pool floor, features a textured anti-slip finish that feels gentle underfoot. Maintenance is minimal and water chemistry is easier to balance.

Graphene Strength for Durability and Confidence

We partner exclusively with Aqua Technics, an Australian-owned and made brand bringing nearly 50 years of fibreglass innovation to your backyard.  Graphene-infused composite makes these pools up to 30% stronger than competing brands.  Built to perform, year after year.

ColourGuard® for Vibrant, Long-Lasting Colour

ColourGuard® technology creates a protective barrier that shields your pool’s finish from harsh UV rays and chemical exposure, so it stays true and glossy for years without fading.

Choosing the Right Fibreglass Pool

It’s not just about picking a shape you like. The right pool works with your space, your lifestyle, and the way your family actually spends time outdoors.

Think about what matters most. Room for the kids to play, or laps and exercise? A pool and spa combination for year-round use, or a compact plunge pool for a smaller block? How does the pool connect to your entertaining area?

We’ve helped thousands of Melbourne families work through these decisions, and we’re here to guide you through yours.

Designed Around Your Lifestyle

Every family uses their pool differently. If weekends are about kids and entertaining, wide entry steps and bench seating make sense. If fitness is the priority, a longer lap pool gives you the room you need. After relaxation? A pool and spa combination might be the better fit. We’ll help you match the design to how you’ll actually use it.

Built to Suit Your Space

Your backyard’s size, shape and aspect all influence which pool will work best. A narrow side yard might call for a slim-profile design like the Paradiso, while a larger block opens up options for a full-sized family pool and spa combination. We also consider sun exposure, access for installation, and how the pool connects to your home. Getting these details right early makes the whole process smoother.

Working with Horizon Pools on our Saint-Remy 8x4 pool was an excellent experience particularly as first time pool owners. Throughout the build, Catherine, Daniel, Allan and the team were exceptional - always polite, understanding, and quick to answer all of our questions, making us feel very comfortable. We also faced a few design challenges which were efficiently resolved. Horizon collaborated effectively with our landscape designers, resulting in a beautiful and modern pool design that perfectly suits our outdoor space. We are absolutely loving the pool. The team at Horizon pools were direct in pricing and details on the first inquiry. A meeting was then arranged with Catherine and Daniel. We left that meeting feeling great, they were very accommodating on what we wanted and had some great ideas to work within our confines of easements etc. The whole process was explained thoroughly and Catherine was always available to answer any questions. Daniel was on site several times to offer advice and check in. Main delays were due to weather and the fact the I chose to carry out all the tiling/ fencing etc myself. Fast forward and with help from Alan our pool is up and running with pump, heater chemicals, and cleaner etc. We love it, the kids especially and it gets used everyday. I would encourage anyone wanting to build a pool to engage a good landscape designer to assist with a clear picture and costs as this is the part where things can start to blow out. Council approvals for building over easements etc can be time consuming and difficult to navigate so allow time to get this sorted. We would highly recommend Daniel, Catherine, Alan and The Horizon Pools team to build your dream pool. Thank you all 😊

Horizon Pools are a great option to consider if you are installing a pool. I can't say enough good things about the Team. From our first discussion with Catherine, then going to the office to discuss options, everyone was friendly and prepared to take the time to go through everything. Our pool was installed as a "sleeper", so it was installed, filled then covered until the house was completed. Throughout the build, Horizon were in constant communication, asking for updates and adjusting schedules accordingly. Final handover was great, equipment use was explained thoroughly along with some youtube videos just in case you forget how to do it. I highly recommend Horizon Pools.

There are no words to describe the appreciation and thanks we have for Daniel and his team for the beautifully designed and executed pool that they have created for our home. With a seemingly large suburban backyard Daniel had the task to design a pool for the kids to play and bomb in and a spa for the adults to relax in; an area for adult non swimmers to feel comfortable in the pool whilst incorporating room for an existing large trampoline, outdoor dining, an adventurous, much loved dog, skewed boundary fences and easements; not so easy when you list all of this off! All we can say is his design beautifully met this challenge and the ease that he translates his design to us was amazing, no question was left unanswered, and we felt at ease immediately. With subtle design feature curves, an internal spa that is a relaxation zone for the adults and a plunge pool for the kids on chilled evenings. Entry steps with a widened second step which doubles as a sun lounge area for those not keen to swim; these steps then lead onto a beautiful swimming area. The pool is balanced by grassed and entertainment areas so that all members of the family 2 or 4 legged can enjoy time outside of the pool also. Thank you Daniel and your team from not only myself and my children but from my extended family too; we cannot remember our backyard without the pool and your contribution to our lives have created many lasting memories.

A breath of fresh air when navigating unfamiliar territory! Their team is so passionate and is knowledgeable. They upgraded my pool equipment and technology at a very reasonable price. They did the works quickly and without fuss. I noticed results within 24 hours, with user-friendly functionality, a tidy pool equipment area, and clearer pool water. Would not hesitate to recommend and will now be my 'go to' for all my pool needs.

Had our pool installed for about a year now and extremely happy with the result. Office and construction staff were all professional and helpful the whole way though the process and always kept up to date even during Melbournes continual lockdowns.

Faq's about building a swimming pool

It depends on your priorities, site conditions, and budget. Fibreglass pools offer faster installation and lower maintenance, while concrete allows for complete customisation. Our team can help you weigh up the options during a free consultation.

Fibreglass pools can typically be installed in 5-10 days, while concrete pools take 6 to 12 weeks depending on design complexity. We provide clear timelines up-front so you know exactly what to expect.

Pool size, type, site conditions, design features, and landscaping requirements all play a role. We offer transparent quoting with no hidden surprises, and we are always happy to discuss options that fit your budget.

Absolutely. With extensive experience across sites in Melbourne and regional Victoria, we've worked through sloping blocks, narrow access, rock excavation, and challenging soil. Few sites surprise us, and we're here to find practical solutions where others might not.

Yes. Our experienced team manages everything from initial design through to final handover, which means better quality control, clearer communication, and a smoother overall experience for you.

Both fibreglass and concrete pools are built to last.  We offer comprehensive warranties on structure, surface, and equipment, giving you peace of mind long after installation.
