Known around our office simply as “the Red Pool,” this Caulfield South project was never going to be ordinary. The client’s brief was refreshingly bold: a fully tiled red pool, a standout, a talking point, something no one had seen before. We’ll admit we wondered whether red might look a little odd. The finished result proved us wrong. It’s striking, unexpected and full of personality.
The pool sits beautifully within its landscaped surrounds, picking up the bold red accents of the client’s architecturally designed home. White backlit feature screens form a clean backdrop to the pool and alfresco area, while eclectic soft landscaping and garden lighting add another layer to the space. The design itself stays elegantly simple, with cathedral steps at one end and a full-length bench that keeps the swimming zone clear and uninterrupted.
It’s a design that happily challenges convention, and one that becomes the centrepiece of the whole backyard. The Red Pool doesn’t just complement the home, it defines the space, and it’ll be a talking point for years to come.
